Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ Sets ‘Iron Fist’ Boss as Showrunner

Marvel Entertainment is turning to a familiar hand to guide its forthcoming ABC series “The Inhumans.” Scott Buck, who is already executive producer and showrunner for Netflix’s upcoming Marvel series “Iron Fist,” will serve in the same role on “The Inhumans.”

ABC announced last month that it had given a greenlight to “The Inhumans” under a unique distribution and financing deal that will see the first two episodes premiere in IMAX theaters. Those episodes are slated to later air on ABC, with subsequent episodes premiering on the broadcast network.

“The Inhumans” will premiere in theaters in September, 2017, then air on ABC that fall. The series, based on characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics in 1965, tells the story of a race of superpowered beings. It is produced by Marvel and ABC Studios, and will be ABC’s third Marvel series, following “Agents of SHIELD” and “Agent Carter.”

“Iron Fist,” the fourth Marvel series for Netflix following “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” and “Luke Cage,” will premiere on Netflix March 17, 2017. It will star Finn Jones as Danny Rand, a kung-fu master able to summon the power of the mythical Iron Fist.

Two More Characters Introduced For The Crossover Game! Marvel & Capcom Discuss Game's Release & Accessibility : Games : Gamenguide

During the Capcom Cup 2016 broadcasted by ESPN 2, the trailer for the "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" was shown to the public. Further details will be shared when both of the company's executive producers meet at the middle to propose a release date and the game's accessibility.

More Characters For 'Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite'

The "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" trailer feature four of the well-known characters in the franchise namely Ryu, Mega Man, Iron Man and Captain Marvel. However, there are news that Captain America and Morrigan will still be on the roster for the upcoming "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" in 2017.

Furthermore, Morrigan is from the Capcom game "Darkstalkers" series, while Captain America is from the Marvel Comic Universe. Based on the trailer, Morrigan's long running Darkness illusion is still the pick for an ultimate for the character in "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" and Captain America is also seen performing the character's iconic Hyper Charging Star move.

The "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" is said to be a two on two battle with the third character in an assist mode, thus bring the latest sequel back to its roots from the previous games titles. Characters can also use one of the six Infinity Gems that creates some kind of power boost.

Each Infinity Gem in the "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" has different advantages to whoever uses one and also represents a different aspect of the Universe namely Space, Time, Power, Reality, Soul, and Mind. In the trailer, viewers can see Ryu using the Power Gem, before Ms. Marvel uses the Time Gem to counter Ryu's attack.

'Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite' Release Date

"Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" is said to be available in PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC platforms in 2017. However, both Marvel and Capcom are still negotiating terms when the game title will be released.

Marvel game executive producer, Mike Jones and Capcom's Michael Evans were at the PlayStation Experience and discussed "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite plans. Evans stated that "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" will be released when it's ready due to the fact that Capcom is making its time to make sure the story and gameplay is intact and will go directly as planned.

ROCKET & GROOT Reunited In MARVEL/FUNKO Animated Short

Marvel and Funko have collaborated to create the first-ever Funko animated shorts, the second of which, Bait N Switch, was released today! There are three Marvel Funko animated shorts in total and each one is ninety seconds in length. Featuring some of Marvel’s most popular Super Heroes and Villains, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Loki, Rocket, Groot, the Collector, Deadpool, and Venom, the second animated short Bait N Switch is AVAILABLE NOW on the Marvel YouTube page.

The first Marvel Funko animated short Spellbound was released last week and is a rousing success and has currently been viewed by 600,000+ people online. Next week on 12/14 the third and final short, Chimichangas, will premiere and features Deadpool facing off against Venom!

Here are 5 new nutty promos for Marvel and FX’s X-Men spinoff series Legion

"Shall we begin?" In the wake of the release of the new trailer and the reveal of the show’s premiere date, FX has unleashed five new promos for Marvel’s upcoming X-Men spinoff series (it’s complicated), Legion. Even tough each promo is rather short; they feature some new material for you to sink your teeth into.

The brainchild of Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley, Legion stars Dan Stevens (of Downton Abbey fame) in the titular role of David Haller, who may be one of the most powerful mutants on Earth (and the son of another powerful mutant: Charles Xavier) and the key in the battle between government forces and mutants.

The series hails from Hawley, Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg, and is being executive-produced by Jeph Loeb (head of Marvel TV), Jim Chory (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and John Cameron (Fargo) and is produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television. This is the first time that Marvel and the X-Men movie team are working together to produce a live-action series. 

Along with the new footage, the promos also put the spotlight on the fact that David has been in and out of psychiatric institutions for a good many years (as evidenced by Dan Stevens’ two hairstyles in the promos). Coming Soon has a super-detailed synopsis for the series, so I’ve but it under the spoiler tag just in case.

Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens), a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which David must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees may actually be real. A haunted man, David escapes from the hospital and seeks shelter with his sister Amy (Katie Aselton). But Amy’s concern for her brother is trumped by her desire to protect the picture perfect suburban life she’s built for herself. Eventually, Syd guides David to Melanie Bird (Jean Smart), a nurturing but demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods. Here are 5 new nutty promos for Marvel and FX’s X-Men spinoff series Legion

"Shall we begin?" In the wake of the release of the new trailer and the reveal of the show’s premiere date, FX has unleashed five new promos for Marvel’s upcoming X-Men spinoff series (it’s complicated), Legion. Even tough each promo is rather short; they feature some new material for you to sink your teeth into.

The brainchild of Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley, Legion stars Dan Stevens (of Downton Abbey fame) in the titular role of David Haller, who may be one of the most powerful mutants on Earth (and the son of another powerful mutant: Charles Xavier) and the key in the battle between government forces and mutants.

The series hails from Hawley, Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg, and is being executive-produced by Jeph Loeb (head of Marvel TV), Jim Chory (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and John Cameron (Fargo) and is produced by FX Productions and Marvel Television. This is the first time that Marvel and the X-Men movie team are working together to produce a live-action series. 

Along with the new footage, the promos also put the spotlight on the fact that David has been in and out of psychiatric institutions for a good many years (as evidenced by Dan Stevens’ two hairstyles in the promos). Coming Soon has a super-detailed synopsis for the series, so I’ve but it under the spoiler tag just in case.

Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens), a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which David must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees may actually be real. A haunted man, David escapes from the hospital and seeks shelter with his sister Amy (Katie Aselton). But Amy’s concern for her brother is trumped by her desire to protect the picture perfect suburban life she’s built for herself. Eventually, Syd guides David to Melanie Bird (Jean Smart), a nurturing but demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods. She and her team of specialists â€" Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris), Kerry (Amber Midthunder) and Cary (Bill Irwin) â€" open David’s eyes to an extraordinary new world of possibilities.
